Howard Levine
Tuba/Trombone/Low Brass

Howard Levine is a music educator and instructor with over 25 years of teaching experience. His concentration is that of the low brass instruments. In 1980, Howard earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia, as well as a Master's Degree from Winthrop University in 1983. He has been a member of various programs, including the Northwinds Community Band, and his professional playing experiences include performances with both the Charlotte and Savannah Symphonies. Howard also works and performs with local area school programs, including a guest soloist performance with the West Hall High School band program.

Howard has studied with some of the finest low brass players/instructors throughout the country. His mentors include Michael Moore (Principal Tuba, Atlanta Symphony), Sam Green (retired Principal Tuba, Cincinnati Symphony), David Randolph (Univ. of Georgia), and Jamie Hafner (retired band director Emeritus of the Brevard Music Center). Howard takes a great deal of pride in introducing students to the joys of making music. He believes that musical success, like all things worth having, does require some effort and dedication. With that effort and dedication, however, students will be able to use their instruction to open doors and seize opportunities in the future.
